David Wayne Brown Sr., 68, of North Vernon passed away at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Brown worked for North Vernon Forge from 1984 – 1991 as a tool and die maker, and I.T.T. Thompson Industries in North Vernon from 1961-1984. Mr. Brown was a 1959 graduate of North Vernon High School. He was a member of Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite, North Vernon Masonic Lodge #59, Am Vets Post #7 in North Vernon, Moose Lodge in a North Vernon and Eagles Lodge in North Vernon. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his grandkids.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 30, 2009 at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with Mr. Mike Brown Officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2009 and one hour prior to the service on Friday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Born January 3, 1941 in North Vernon, Indiana, David was the son of Clifford and Dorothy Marie Berry Brown. He married Betty Jean Wilder on March 1, 1963 in North Vernon, Indiana. She preceded him in death on January 14, 2009
Surviving are two sons, David Brown, Jr. and Michael (Erika) Brown of North Vernon; six grandchildren, Dustin Brown, Devin Brown, Sydney Brown and Alexus Brown of North Vernon, David Brown III and Chelsea Brown of Greensburg; and one great grandchild, Skyler Brown of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty, eight brothers, Ansel, Harold, Clifford, Eugene, James, Johnny Mack, Howard and Roger Brown, two sisters Juanita Robbins and Olive Brown.
