Robert Lee Lamaster, 61, of North Vernon passed away at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus, Indiana.

Mr. Lamaster was born on August 24, 1947 in Scottsburg, Indiana the son of Edward and Lavene Zollman Lamaster. He married Wanda McNamee on February 3, 1973 in North Vernon, Indiana. She survives.

Mr. Lamaster was a controller for Baylor Trucking retiring in April of 2009 after 21 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1969 during the Vietnam Era. 1965 graduate of North Vernon High School. His hobbies included traveling, watching NASCAR, watching sports, and spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife of 36 years are, two sons, Stan Lamaster of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Eric (Kelley) Lamaster of North Vernon, Indiana; two brothers, Chuck (Angie) Lamaster of Hayden, Indiana and Jim (Gloria) Lamaster of North Vernon, Indiana; one sister, Linda (John) Jones of Middletown, Indiana; five grandchildren, Cory and Brent Lamaster of Kansas City, Kansas, Shawn Lamaster of Anchorage, Alaska, Brittany Lamaster and Chad Gibson both of North Vernon, Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Eli Hunter Bradding, Michael Gibson and Xander Gibson all of North Vernon, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Darlena Lamaster, two grandchildren, Erica Gibson and Andy Krug; a brother, Billy Lamaster.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Dove- Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made through Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home to Hospice of Jennings County.
