Clark Everage, 82, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Everage was born on October 23, 1927, in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of Jake and Dora Polly Everage. He married Geneva Lucas on June 1, 1973 in Vernon, Indiana. She survives.

Mr. Everage retired in 1994 after 12 years as a nurse for the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville, Indiana. He had previously worked for Regal Rugs as a mechanic for 15 years and Chrysler Plant in Dayton, Ohio for 5 years. He was Veteran of the United States Army. He graduated High School in Hazard, Kentucky. He loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors and building birdhouses.

Surviving with his wife are; four sons, Melvin Wyne and his wife Wanda of Commiskey, Indiana, Ken Everage and his wife Terri, Jeff Shinolt and Bart Shinolt all of North Vernon, Indiana; four daughters, Pat Everage-Ritz and her husband Tom, Pam Jines and her husband Larry, both of North Vernon, Indiana, Debbie Biddinger and her husband Tim and Dora Biddinger and her husband Doug both of Greensburg, Indiana; twenty-two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Jim Everage.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mildred Slones officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, Indiana, with members of Matt Hester Post #2021, Veterans of Foreign Wars giving Military graveside rites.
