Alice Sue Phillips, 65, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mrs. Phillips was born on February 20, 1944 in Bartholomew County, Indiana the daughter of Pete and Nettie Lucas White. She Married Charles Phillips on June 28, 1962 in North Vernon, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1985.
Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker. She was a member of Am Vets Post #7 in North Vernon, Indiana, and attended the First Baptist Church in North Vernon, Indiana. She attended Bartholomew County Schools. Her hobbies included Bingo, playing cards and fishing.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Graham of Mobile, Alabama, Donald Phillips and Jonathan Phillips and his wife Stephanie both of North Vernon, Indiana; two daughters, Shirley Smith and her husband Jimmy of Grand Bay, Alabama and Sarah Luedeman and her husband Tony of North Vernon, Indiana; one brother, Densen White of Indiana; one sister, Martha Townsend and her husband Roger of Columbus, Indiana; six grandchildren, Joey and Elbie Smith of Grand Bay, Alabama, Crystal Gail and Azalia Melissa Graham of Hope, Indiana and Alisha and Adam McElroy of North Vernon, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sisters, Molly Mullis and Florence Fields; four brothers, James, Melvin, Dale and George White.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in North Vernon, Indiana.
Memorials may be made through the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home to Hospice of Methodist Hospital, Yellow Rose Wing.
