Annetta Ellen Jenkins, 66, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2009 at Kindred Healthcare Center in Greenwood, Indiana.

Mrs. Jenkins was born on August 4, 1943 in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of Luther Waldo and Loretta May Foist Beeman. She married James O. Jenkins on November 5, 1961 at the Nebraska Church of God in Nebraska, Indiana. He survives.

Mrs. Jenkins retired after 11 years as an attendant in 1982 from the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville, Indiana. She was the former owner of the Owls Nest Ceramics' in Vernon, Indiana. She was a 1961 graduate of North Vernon High School, a member of Nebraska Church of God in Nebraska, Indiana and she attended the Bethel Baptist Church in North Vernon, Indiana. She was a former 4H leader and Den Mother for Cub Scouts. Her hobbies included crafts, crocheting, 4H, NASCAR and her grandchildren.

Surviving with her husband of 48 years are, one son, Rusty (Carol) Jenkins of North Vernon, Indiana; four daughters, Angie (Jerry) Bruce of Seymour, Indiana, Lora (Roger) Vanosdol, Lynnetta (Jack Hatton) Jenkins, and Janie (Tom Head) Vanosdol all of North Vernon, Indiana; two brothers, Thomas (Pam) Beeman and James (Teresa) Beeman of North Vernon, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, Whitney Jenkins of Columbus, Indiana, Wendi and Conner Hunt of Seymour, Indiana, Sheldon, Tiffani and Cody (Nikki) Vanosdol, Cory, Kacie, MacKenzie, and Landon Jenkins, Michael, Lesley and Emily Hatton all of North Vernon, Indiana; five great-grandchildren, Zarek Bautista and Hayzin Sweet both of Columbus, Indiana, Brooklyn Jenkins, Cloey Vanosdol and Kayley Turner all of North Vernon, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Luther Dale Beeman.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hatton officiating. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Memorial may be made through the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home to the Family for Expenses.
