Jim Nease, 60, of Commiskey, Indiana passed away at 12:55 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Nease was born on June 20, 1949 in Commiskey, Indiana the son of Dan and Alpha Johnson Nease.
Mr. Nease was a Veteran of the United States Army having served from 1969-1971 during the Vietnam War. He attended North Vernon High School. He was a member of Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F.W. and Risen Savior Baptist Church both in North Vernon, Indiana. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and family time.
Survivors include one brother, Jerry Nease and his wife Alice of Commiskey, Indiana; two sisters, Jeanetta Criss of Commiskey, Indiana and Sinda Sergent and her husband Billy of Paris Crossing, Indiana; one nephew, Michael Sergent and his wife Pam of Paris Crossing, Indiana; two nieces, Doris Short and Sue Ross and her husband Mike both of Commiskey, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private Family visitation and funeral service will be held at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon, Indiana with the Rev. Joe Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery in Paris Crossing, Indiana with members of Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F. W. giving Military graveside rites.
