Evelyn Fae Beesley, 91, of North Vernon, IN, passed away at 6:28 a.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at her home.
Mrs. Beesley was born on December 1, 1918 in Madison County, IN. She was the daughter of Lundy and Cecile Hanger Stohler. She was married to Herbert L. Beesley on December 2, 1939 in Westport, IN. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2001.
Mrs. Beesley was a farmer, a homemaker, a housewife, and a lifelong beautician. She enjoyed flowers and traveling. She was a 1937 graduate of Markleville High School in Markleville, IN. She was a former member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church where she a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Missionary Society, a former Red Cross Volunteer, and a member of the Nazarene Church of North Vernon.
Surviving are her 3 sons- Richard Lundy "Bud" (Jeanne) Beesley of North Vernon, IN, Charles William "Bill" (Judy) Beesley of North Vernon, IN, and Robert Lee "Bob" (Karen) Beesley of Westport, IN; 2 Sisters- Mary Greene of North Vernon, IN, and Helen Brown of Daleville, IN; 7 grandchildren- Lana (Chris) Evans of Markleville, IN, Corina (Trent) Buchan of Fort Wayne, IN, Fae (Bill) Harrison, Kim (Ralph) Shatto, and Charles William (Crissy) Beesley, Jr, all of North Vernon, IN, and Todd Robert (Paulina) Beesley and Susan K. (Terry) Payne, both of Westport, IN; 18 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great- Grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother- Charles Stohler.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Beesley will be Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home with the Rev. Wally Glover officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon, IN.
Memorials may be made through Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home to the Hospice of Jennings County.
