Patrick Allen Fleming, 57, of Seymour, Indiana passed away at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mr. Fleming was born on January 5, 1953 in Seymour, Indiana the son of Francis Lewis Fleming and Dorothy Mae Roberson Fleming Bowerly.
Mr. Fleming worked on the assembly line at Dorel in Columbus, Indiana for around 12 years. Prior to this he had worked for a year as a DST attendant at the former Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville, Indiana. He was a former Town Marshall for Vernon, Indiana. He served in the United States Army. His hobbies included NASCAR, Fishing and he enjoyed going to the boat. He was once a contestant on the Hoosier Millionaire.
Survivors include one son, Adam (Diana) Fleming of Budd Lake, New Jersey; step-mother, Barbara Fleming of Woodville, Alabama; two brothers, Michael "Chub" (Wilma) Fleming of Vernon, Indiana and T-bird Bowerly of Tennessee; six sisters, Jane Bear of Dupont, Indiana, Peggy Roberts of Butlerville, Indiana, Marsha (Ken) Burke of Windfall, Indiana, Phyllis (Richard) Holland of Woodville, Alabama, Lola (John) Post of Vernon, Indiana and Callie Anderson of North Vernon, Indiana; two grandchildren, Kaden and Xavier Fleming of Budd Lake, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father, Thomas Bowerly; one brother, Gordon Bowerly, one nephew, Clinton Bear and a niece, Heather Holland.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon, Indiana. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery with members of Matt Hester Post #2021, Veterans of Foreign Wars providing Military graveside rites.
