Vicki Lynn Hemmings, 61 of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 12:43 a.m. Sunday May 2, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Hemmings was born April 22, 1949 in Columbus, Indiana the daughter of Kenneth and Velma Sharp Richard. She married Jack E. Hemmings in 1984 in North Vernon, Indiana. He survives.
Mrs. Hemmings was office manager for Country Chevrolet in North Vernon from 1986 to 1991. Was Human Resource Manager at Decatur Mold in North Vernon, In. from April 1991 to September 1995, worked at Lowes Distribution Center in North Vernon from 2002 to 2008, she also worked for St. Anne's Services Incorporated in Aircraft maintenance. She was also a charter member of the O.V.O. Aviators Pilots Club of North Vernon.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Whitehead and his wife Brandi of North Vernon and Brian Whitehead of Scottsburg, Indiana; one daughter Jennifer Whitehead Renoll of North Vernon, Indiana; her mother, Velma Richard of Elizabethtown, Indiana; one brother, Mark Richard and his wife Beverly of Columbus, Indiana; three sisters, Gerri Strictelmeier of Columbus, Indiana, Carolyn Harris and her husband John of Freetown, Indiana and Sheryl Barringer and her husband Jerry of Scipio, Indiana; six grandchildren, Jacob and Austin Renoll of North Vernon, Indiana, Skylar, Audrey and Sarah Whitehead all of North Vernon, Indiana and Nikki Johnson of Hope, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Kayla Renoll.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May, 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon, Indiana with the Rev. Connie Barr officiating. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home on Tuesday May 4, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made through the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home to the American Cancer Society or Mercy Rescue and Adoption.
